This was a BYOB picnic gig at Richard Garriot's (of Ultima  fame) property on the lake. The Curtain  is the mini Globe Theater on the property; at first I thought we'd be sitting far away in the grass, but that was before we ended up right there at the stage. Wow... Monte's a freakin' incredible  world-class guitarist, singer, and songwriter, with high-octane stage presence and a tremendous repertoire. How many other artists would combine audience requests and come up with "Stairway To Freebird"? (and make it sound like a real song!) His improvs were totally jaw-dropping, and I'm so blown away that it'll probably be a week before I feel up to touching my guitar. (Naw...)
